A Tribute to Chief Mrs. Omolara Esan
With heavy hearts and profound gratitude to God for a life well lived, we honor the memory of Chief Mrs. Omolara Esan, a remarkable woman whose legacy will forever remain etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Born on January 4, 1947, in Usi-Ekiti, and called home on November 29, 2024, in Ido-Ekiti, her journey was one of grace, dedication, and unwavering faith.
Chief Mrs. Omolara Esan began her life in Usi-Ekiti, where she attended Ifaki-Ekiti Girls Secondary School, laying the foundation for her incredible story of love, service, and resilience. After graduation, she moved to Lagos where she worked as a teacher and later transitioned into a banking role at Wema Bank. After her banking career, she became an entrepreneur opening mini-supermarket in Ebute-Metta (Larintop Enterprises) and a Restaurant in Ojo, Lagos.
Her life journey took her across the Atlantic to New York, where she spent over four decades working as a nurse at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn. Her dedication to her profession was matched by her deep involvement in the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) First in the Americas in Brooklyn, where she served as an active and faithful member. Her love for God and humanity was evident in her actions, touching countless lives with her warmth and compassion.
In early 2000, she relocated to Atlanta suburbs where she bought her dream house and worked for some before returning to New York and in 2014, after a fulfilling career abroad, Chief Mrs. Omolara Esan returned to her roots in Usi-Ekiti, where she embraced her retirement with the same grace and vigor that defined her life. She took on the role of Iya Ijo at St. Andrew's Anglican Cathedral Church, a testament to her unwavering devotion to God and her community. Her leadership, wisdom, and nurturing spirit brought inspiration and unity to many.
She leaves behind a rich legacy through her two children, Arinola Adams and Tope Esan, six cherished grandchildren, fourteen beloved siblings, and numerous nephews and nieces. Her love and guidance will continue to resonate through the generations she nurtured and inspired.
Chief Mrs. Omolara Esan's life was a testament to faith, family, and service. She lived with purpose, gave generously, and loved unconditionally. Her departure leaves a void that can never be filled, but her memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration.
Rest in peace, dear mother, grandmother, sister, and leader. Your light continues to shine in the hearts of those who were blessed to know you.
